Who is LEMIC?
LEMIC is a stock insurance company, domiciled and operating in Louisiana since 1982. We are licensed and admitted in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee, and have only "A"-rated reinsurance. We presently write only Workers' Compensation Insurance. We are not a self-insured fund.
Does LEMIC sell directly to prospective insureds/policyholders?
No, all policies are written through licensed independent insurance agents only. Anyone wanting a quote on a LEMIC policy must contact one of our independent agents.

What type of payment plans does LEMIC have available?
All LEMIC policies are direct billed by our Third Party Administrator, CCMSI. Some available options are:
- Annual (100% Due at Inception) All Accounts under $1,000.
- Quarterly (40% down and 3 quarterly installments) $1,000 min. premium. Any new venture account under $5,000 must pay 40% down and quarterly or annual.
- Monthly (15% down and 11 equal monthly installments) $2,500 min. premium if the account has prior coverage, $5,000 if no prior coverage.
- CAP (Expense Constant + 1/12 of estimated annual premium down and Submit Monthly CAP Reporting form. Insured must complete CAP request form. Request must be submitted to and approved by the Underwriting Manager). $7,500 min. premium on existing CAP accounts and $10,000 min. for new business.
- Electronic Transfer Available on all plans except CAP. (Insured must complete ET request form.)
Will you write accounts with less than 2 employees?
Yes, LEMIC will consider accounts with 1 employee (if owners are excluded).
Will you write accounts with no prior Workers' Compensation coverage?
Yes, we will consider these accounts, as long as the applicant has at least 2 years of experience in the same field.

Will LEMIC provide waiver of subrogation endorsements?
Waivers are available on a specific, named basis only. There is no charge for the endorsement. We cannot offer blanket waivers. The agent should submit a certificate showing the name and address of the waiver holder for the endorsement. Any special wording requirements must also be submitted for approval.
